Dendy Opens Permanent Outdoor Cinema at Brisbane Powerhouse

Brisbane is now home to its first permanent outdoor cinema, with Dendy Powerhouse Outdoor Cinema, located at the iconic Brisbane Powerhouse, opening on Friday 10th November 2023.

This new cinema experience brought to you by Dendy Cinemas, offers patrons the opportunity to enjoy the latest blockbusters, moving arthouse flicks, children's content, and restorations and re-releases of classic films under the stars.

Dendy Powerhouse Outdoor Cinema is a stylish and sophisticated cinema experience that is sure to appeal to movie enthusiasts of all ages. The cinema features a massive outdoor screen atop custom-made 40ft shipping containers and wireless headphones with superior sound quality. Patrons can relax and recline in outdoor lounge chairs with wide armrests while enjoying a glass of wine or beer, a cheese box, or one of Dendy's classic cinema snacks, such as a lovingly hand-scooped choc top. All food and beverage orders can be placed and delivered directly to your seat via a QR code.

The cinema's programming strategy is focused on quality and balance, with a mix of arthouse and mainstream films. Dendy will also look for opportunities to screen concert films, children's content, theatre productions, and restorations and re-releases.
