The sun’s out, and with that, a perfect opportunity to enjoy the cooler autumn air at the eating, drinking, and playing hub we’ve all come to love, Howard Smith Wharves. Share in Brisbane’s good times with a weekend long music trail. Upon arrival, receive a Howard Smith Wharves Music Trail passport. Follow the map and have it stamped at each performer’s location, anyone who achieves the feat of stamping every location in their passport rewarded with a prize. The precinct-wide event will feature eight stages with over thirty performances from Brisbane’s best musicians across the funk, jazz, soul and Latin music genres, along with food and drink pop-ups, positioned along the HSW Music Trail.

A month-long celebration, the Gondwana Festival is described as a festival of a different kind, within the stunning Scenic Rim, from Lamington National Park to Mt Barney National Park. Visitors are being invited to experience some of the most precious and spectacular areas of the World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia, in South East Queensland. The Festival will include guided walks, talks and wild adventures from the base camps (and luxury lodges) of Binna Burra, O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat and Mt Barney Lodge, with Park Tours taking small specialised groups into some existing and new trails being opened specifically for the Festival.

When life deals you drought, grow Sunflowers and they will come. This is what a lucerne farming family in Kalbar about an hour from Brisbane in the Scenic Rim have done, and the result is a one-day celebration of sunflowers, sunshine and happiness for everyone on March 27! The inaugural Sunshine & Sunflower Day will feature sunrise yoga in the sunflowers, wanders through the sunflower fields, children’s sunflower art classes, sunflower cooking classes and in the evening, a Sunset Dinner in the sunflowers curated by Scenic Rim Ambassador Chef, the famed culinary master, Richard Ousby.
