Where to celebrate Brisbane's unmissable summer events

Prepare for Brisbane’s unmissable events this summer, as the city says goodbye to 2020 and welcomes 2021. From the Celebrate Summer series at Eagle Street Pier, through to to the biggest music festival, with the Factory Summer Festival. It’s the perfect blend of ingredients for a cocktail of fun in Brisbane.

CELEBRATE SUMMER AT EAGLE ST PIER

When: 9 December 2020 - 17 January 2021
Where: Eagle St Pier, Brisbane City

This December and January 2021, Brisbane’s premier Riverside dining precinct will come alive with colour, and live entertainment to Celebrate Summer.  Eagle Street Pier will welcome 40 days of larger-than-life installations, live entertainment, great dining, and Covid-safe games for visitors. Come sunset, Neon Nights will take over with the precinct transformed by colourful neon lights. Eagle Street Pier will also host Brisbane’s City Sounds live music program, with artists performing Wednesday - Sunday throughout December and January. With DJ’s and fire twirlers performing each Saturday evening from 6.30pm. 

New dining venues have also been announced for Eagle Street Pier, welcoming Cha Cha Char Steak & Lobster with COPPA set to open in January. Both accompanying the newly opened Naga Thai just in time for the Celebrate summer series.

RIVIERA ON THE LAWN

Be transported to the coast of south-east France, famous for its glamourous beaches, beautiful people and electric nightlife at Riviera on the Lawn. Live it up St. Tropez-style as you sip on gorgeous Grey Goose cocktails, feast on a Mediterranean-inspired menu and chill to Euro beach club beats.

FACTORY SUMMER FESTIVAL

Dust off your brightest outfit and put on your dancing shoes, the biggest music festival of the summer is here. With a massive local line-up, Factory Summer Festival transforms the Brisbane Showgrounds into an outdoor live performance fairground for the month of December.

Sunny Side Up celebrates Brisbane's vibrant subtropical identity and the splendour of living in the Sunshine State. Take a stroll throughout Brisbane City Council's latest Outdoor Gallery and explore stunning photography, sculpture, video, animation and illustration from emerging local artists.
