A coffee lover's dream; Industry Beans Brisbane has arrived
Brisbane coffee lovers, brace yourselves. Melbourne born specialty coffee Industry Beans have just opened a flagship multifaceted venue in Newstead that transitions from day to night seamlessly.
One of Melbourne’s best known coffee empires, Industry Beans new location in Newstead is a feast for the design senses, with minimalist clean sleek lines, dominating the light filled (and white) space that seats about 150. Communal tables and booths along with courtyard greenery completes the gorgeous fit-out of this cafe.
The very impressive day-night venue has indoor-outdoor dining covered, and boasts a state-of-the-art 10 metre long coffee bar, a coffee roastery, and an upper level mezzanine which will become a training facility and coffee tasting sessions in the future.
While Industry Beans is known for its coffee (try the “Spring” Kenyan Filter), The menu is equally impressive, incorporating molecular gastronomy, such as foams, dusts, and gels in their dishes. Some of their well known items have been included for the Brisbane crowd, such as the Porcini Egg, which looks like the Iron Throne made of Kohlrabi nest, porcini dusted egg, roast mushroom duxelle, artichoke hash, wild greens, seared mushrooms, spinach coral, cauliflower charcoal puree and truffle oil. Other tasty items include the Ginger Beer Pork Belly of turmeric kimchi, xo mayonnaise, potato discs, tapioca crisp, puffed black rice and citrus gel. Add some Polenta chips and you’re in for a treat!
Industry Beans will also be serving dinner for the first time, and offer snacks as well as “larger” items and a drinks lists that features a selection of wine producers from Australia, New Zealand, and France. Beer on tap is from Mornington Peninsula and Green Beacon.
