The start of Autumn in Brisbane kicks off with some huge events!
Just like that, summer is over, and the mornings cooler as autumn hits Brisbane. That doesn’t mean things aren’t heating up though. March is jam-packed with events and festivals that we should all be going to. From Beer, Science, Music, to Film festivals, there’s something for everyone.
It’s the biggest and most anticipated BeerFest Australia season yet with Australia’s longest running, original beer festival returning to Brisbane’s Victoria Park. Over 300 unique, exotic and small batch craft beers, ciders, cocktails and wines, hand crafted and perfectly complemented by the most decadent local street eats. BeerFest Australia continues to deliver a huge line-up of live entertainment with Australian electronic dance group Art vs Science headlining the event.

Alliance Française French Film Festival
Poised to thrill audiences the Alliance Française French Film Festival returns to Brisbane screens at the Palace Cinemas for it’s eagerly anticipated 31st season. And in celebration of mankind’s great capacity for kindness and compassion – which often comes to the fore in times of crisis - the Festival will launch the 2020 season with The Extraordinary (Hors normes), one of the most gloriously uplifting films to emerge from France in recent years, which will screen courtesy of Madman Entertainment at the Palace Barracks Cinemas, Wednesday 18th March, from 6pm. Go on a journey to France, without ever leaving the comfort of Brisbane.

The seventh edition of the Brewsvegas Festival returns for another round of good times, and celebrating the burgeoning Brisbane beer scene. The spirit of Brewsvegas remains unchanged; striving to promote collaboration, creativity, and community in the Brisbane beer scene, as well as for people to experience all the ways that a good frothie can bring people together. Packed with different events across several venues, the 2020 edition is surely not one to be missed!

Now in its fifth year and hosted by Queensland Museum, the 2020 festival program will bring science to life in imaginative ways across Brisbane’s Cultural Precinct with over 95 events for all ages. Some of the world’s leading scientists, educators, authors and thinkers from around the world and across Australia, will come together for five nights and four days, including Brian Greene World Science Festival co-founder and physicist.
